Gemini, I get the sense you are going through a rite of passage this month. The most important thing as you move through this initiation is to really own your personal power—be confident and in love with yourself. Because your superpower will be to shift the negative vibes into loving ones by being the mirror to reflect to other that love. Overpower with your superpower. Your mind could run with questions now and rightfully so. The mind wants to direct the direction and steer the relationship, the projects – but instead just use your superpower. Reflect out love and confidence – that is your steering wheel. I would add to really take care of yourself this month, more than ever. STAY HEALTHY and STAY SAFE. This is not to plant fear because you know your superpower, but that superpower also knows that like any gift, you must humbly accept that it works best when you use to help others and not blind yourself from reality.

A Walk In The Woods

“Whenever we touch nature we get clean. People who have got dirty through too much civilization take a walk in the woods, or a bath in the sea. Entering the unconscious, entering yourself through dreams, is touching nature from the inside and this is the same thing, things are put right again.”
 Carl Jung

Dear Grandpa

we are listening.

It’s time to go to bed, tell us a new story about Elfy. We are listening.

It’s pizza night. Get out the pizza pans and show me the correct way to spread the pizza sauce. We are watching.

It’s the night before Christmas. Tell us that Santa Clause isn’t coming because he’s in jail. We are listening.

I have a school report on the war.

Tell us about your time overseas. We are still listening.

It’s election time, better turn on the news.

We’ll watch with you.

I’m graduating grandpa and you are here, telling me that I am the smartest kid in the whole school. With stars in our eyes, we are listening grandpa.

I’m getting married soon. Tell me how we should never go to bed angry. We are listening.

We are all hungry and dinner is ready, it’s time to say the blessing. Call everyone to come in the kitchen, we are listening grandpa.

And now, here we all are. Waiting for you to speak up but we don’t hear anything. The silence is piercing and it physically hurts to know you will never respond. Even though it’s still painful, I know your words are in our hearts and we will always be listening.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large straight-sided skillet over medium-high. Add mushrooms; season with salt. Cook until browned in places, 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute more. Transfer to a plate; reserve skillet for risotto (do not wipe skillet clean).
